Caving initiation
Discover caving in a playful way and evolve in a unique setting in the Poujol cave, an underground cavity with easy access, ideal for familiarising yourself with the underground world and gently discovering its particularities.
The causses are a real "gruyères" offering us the possibility to wander in unimaginable sceneries where time has little hold.
Good health condition:
Located in the heart of the Jonte Gorges, the Poujol cave is characterised by its various obstacles and consists of 3 large rooms separated by narrowings.
During this caving excursion, you will approach the discipline from all angles, starting with games of progression and displacement to "relearn how to walk" in uneven terrain. Then comes the more instructive aspect during which you will discover more about the history of the Poujol cave, the Grands Causses and the geology behind its formation.
Inside the cave, you will be able to observe landscapes sculpted by time, concretion ceilings, flows, or traces of past life.
