Tapoul Canyon
Ready to go in the pearl of the Cevennes? The Tapoul canyon is a combination of jumps, natural slides, white water swimming and abseiling at the foot of Mont Aigoual!
The equipment is done in the village of Rousses in Lozère, then a bus will take us to the start of the canyon (mandatory in high season)
Good health condition :
After a 5-minute approach walk, we enter the Tapoul canyon.
The various obstacles follow each other in quick succession. This is an opportunity to learn the basics of canyon jumping techniques: impulse, precision, and cushioning.
Then the obligatory abseils (from 2 m to 10 m) follow one another progressively, alternating with small swims and various jumps that can reach 10 m!
At the end of the course, you will find an optional 25-metre zip line with a very wet finish!
Once the Tapoul canyon course is finished, you start a 10 minutes’ walk back, while still enjoying the nature of the Cevennes National Park which will have offered you a very refreshing canyoning experience!
